Sob race the first one at Montecarlo: the SC enters five times on the track and drivers can really race only 7 laps on 24. The first three at the start (De Montferrand, Louis and Torrenti) maintain their position, while Marone finishes 8th due to an heavy mistakes at lap 9. So the race smiles to the Frenches. De Montferrand consolidates his leadership bearing off from Marone (still second but 37points behind the vertex). Sixth podium for Torrenti in the series, but the Italian doesn’t find so positive this result. “Louis is now more near in classification and it will be difficult keeping my provisional podium”, said Torrenti who conserves only 7 points on the French. “The only reason to be happy is the good position in grid for Race 2”. That’s true, but Race 2 it will be more similar to a lottery than a race: weather forecast says track flooded at the start (81%) and rain until the end.
