NASC Improvements

NASC Improvements

Following a thorough analysis and feedback from managers, some changes have been made to NASC series.

NASC Improvements

NASC series are a notable part of MRC, especially for our United States managers. A few seasons ago the MRC Team received detailed feedback on how NASC racing could be improved, and the changes made are as follows. Please note that some of these changes may only apply to NASC Gold Cup.

BETTER RACING

Beginning from Season 44, modifications to stock car series were made in order to improve passing, which was too difficult in most ovals. It appears that these have worked okay but we are always receptive for suggestions on how to improve.
Efforts were also made to make racing more realistic at Daytona and Talladega.

TYRE WEAR

Both the specific tyre wear for NASC tyres and some tracks have been tweaked in order to better represent the real tyre wear that happens in NASCAR racing. In real life tyres may drop off by almost 2 seconds during a fuel stint in certain tracks. We think this will make life more interesting for managers and open up strategies.

MORE POSSIBILITIES

Speaking of strategies, there are two new things specific to NASC. One is the differing number of tyres available per event. In real life some races have 6 sets of slick tyres available but others may have as many as 13 sets according to the wear of the racetrack. This has been added so in a high wear track like Atlanta, you may opt for more pitstops and quicker pace overall.
Conversely, we've added the option to refuel only in pitstops. Maybe less pitstops with less tyre wear will be the winning option? Managers will have to test tyre wear and decide for each race. Maybe Michigan will do with less stops? Maybe Darlington will be won by a late stop for tyres?

We hope the changes will improve the experience and as always, we're open for more feedback and more suggestions. We're aware that there are still some things to improve, such as pits closure, but we thought this was a good way to start.
