Persberichten - Inside Hebert Racing and Future Plans!

Inside Hebert Racing and Future Plans!

Pop A. Rozzi :We are here at Hebert racing to discuss one of the US top rookie drivers: Douglas Hebert! Here we have the man himself who is currently driving for the Ford backed Hebert racing team. Lets get to the questions shall we?

Douglas Hebert: Thanks for having me here today Pop.

PAR: So, did you feel you was ready to race when your father retired after half a full season?

DH: Well, the only reason he ran really was because I was still considered too young to race at the time, he does have an extensive career in other motorsport such as cart racing but that is is circuit experience, at 18 he started a drag racing career, where he gained a good knowledge of engineering know how to get the car going. He was the guy who has that car I run out there going. I'm also really glad he's on the pit wall every race.

PAR: Interesting, do you do any drag racing, and how content are you right now with the current standings of the F3 Canadian Series?

DH: Yes I do a bit of drag racing every now and then between events but F3 is my current focus. As for the Canadian series, I'm almost content with my position as the season starts to wind down. I'm proud to say I'm currently in 4th in my first full season of racing. I'm tied for most wins and I hold the lead in laps led in races.

PAR: You've had eyes on you from the USRA as well from your performances in other series too huh?

DH: Yes, Between the USRA U21 warm up series third place overall I've took, and the Rookie Tour of The America's 2nd place trophy, people would say my start is almost magical in a way. I don't see it like that though, It's more like one skip of a stone in the pond achievement.

PAR: One last question before we end the interview, Do you plan on staying in the Canadian series for season 22?

DH: No, I will be moving on to the bigger South East Asia Series where I'll be the 11th highest ranked driver. I'm looking forward to the challenge it will bring to me and what else the future will be.

PAR: Thank you for the interview Douglas, wish you the best of luck in the rest of your Canadian series races and in season 22 as well

DH: Thank you Pop, I'm glad you can have me for this interview.
