Persberichten - Spinning in Phakisa

Spinning in Phakisa

The usual cheery face of Yamanaka is non-existent as she made her way, on foot, towards the medical crews to be checked for injuries, if any.

We tried to hear her thought about what caused the accident at lap 65 of the race but she remained quiet and shook her head.

Yamanaka opt not to be interviewed. Here is what the crew chief has to say:

"It could be anything. It's probably the car, who knows? The race was going smoothly for her, she climbed up from the 25th to the 19th position with almost no hitch. Once we get a word from her and after investigating the car, we can confirm. I'm thinking of mechanical failure."
