INDY JUNIOR INTERNATIONAL - SEASON 15 - ROUND 4 TO 8

Here is the report of the season #15 of the Indy Junior International Serie (IJIS) from round 4 to 8 (half season).

Round 4 – Anhembi
Perfect race for Kaziu Nakajima and his strategy with two pit stops. Even if he was deprived from pole position by Kryazin, the Polish driver dominates the race during 47 laps (on 65), take the best lap and wins in front of the fast Vasya Kryazin. In spite of 7% of damage (further to a new collision with fellow countryman Sammallus), the Finn Teuvo Kuningas gets his second podium of the season in front of the very regular Andi Bernie Jr and the surprising Emmerson Miller (who gets his first top five).
Forced to stop to pits a second time (after his collision with Kuningas), Sami Sammallus ranks 6th in front of the Greek promising (best driver of his country) Tito Packard-Papazza (7th) but also MacLachlan, Dan Daniel and Ivan Nerovny. For a long time 4th, Arnaud Briand was victim of an accident wth Libor Bilek and ends 12th.

Round 5 – Saint-Pie (Oval)
New exceptional performance of Kaziu Nakajima and his strategy with three pit stops this time. Outstripped again in the qualification by very quick Kryazin, the Polish turns out irresistible in race, leading 169 laps (on 250) and taking away his 3rd victory in 5 races. As to Anhembi, Nakjaima is accompanied on the podium by Vasya Kryazin (2nd) and Teuvo Kuningas (3rd).
Thanks to a very quick pit stop, Arnaud Briand finishes 4th in front of Andi Bernie Jr (5th) and surprising Atanas Todorov who picks up his first top ten (6th). The Bulgarian ends in front of Dan Daniel, Murtagh MacLachlan, Ivan Nerovny and Libor Bilek. Victim of a problem of tyres and a second pit stop unforeseen, Sami Sammallus is classified 12th with the best lap in his pocket.

1. Nakajima, 2. Kryazin, 3. Kuningas, 4. Briand, 5. Bernie Jr, 6. Todorov, 7. Daniel, 8. MacLachlan, 9. Nerovny, 10. Bilek.

Round 6 – Edmonton
Author of his 4th pole position in a row, Vasya Kryazin takes down finally the victory ! Outstripped at the start by Nakajima, the Russian deceives his rival by making his only pit stop during an appearance of the Pace Car. Kryazin won the race in front of Sami Sammallus (who opted for the same strategy) and Kaziu Nakajima (credited with the best lap).
Slowed down by an exit of track and 16 % of damages, Arnaud Briand is classified 5th behind the Austrian driver Andi Bernie Jr (4th). Fast Emmerson Miller ends 6th front regular Libor Bilek (7th for the 3rd time of the season) and surprising Ivan Nerovny (8th) and Lukas Rosincin (9th) who obtain their better result there of the year. Second best time during the race, The Greek Tito Packard-Papazza appropriates the 10th place in front of Atanas Todorov, Rafa Diogo, Facundo Regalia and Malaysian Hafizuddin Rashid.

1. Kryazin, 2. Sammallus, 3. Nakajima, 4. Bernie Jr, 5. Briand, 6. Miller, 7. Bilek, 8. Nerovny, 9. Rosincin, 10. Packard-Papazza.

Round 7 – Montlhéry (Oval)
Very animated but still victorious race for Kaziu Nakajima. Beaten in the qualification by Kryazin (5th pole position on 7), the Polish made his strategy of three pit stops triumph by dominating 62 laps (on 200) in spite of 18 % of damages late on the race further to a contact with the leader Briand. Nakajima takes down his 4th victory in front of eternal rival Vasya Kryazin (2nd) and Andi Bernie Jr (3rd) who took advantage in particular of the DNF of Teuvo Kuningas (crash) and Arnaud Briand (leader before knowing two collisions in the same lap with Nakajima then MacLachlan !).
Behind, Sami Sammallus appropriates the 4th place in front of Dan Daniel, Libor Bilek, Murtagh MacLachlan and Alexande Schmitt who ends 8th and picks up finally his first top ten of the year after a long black serie. Just like in Edmonton, Lukas Rosincin is classified 9th in front of Rainer Stoff who obtains his best classification of the season, just like Scott Ainzullah 12th and Floyd Tennant 15th.

Classification Montlhéry :
1. Nakajima, 2. Kryazin, 3. Bernie Jr, 4. Sammallus, 5. Daniel, 6. Bilek, 7. MacLacjhlan, 8 . Schmitt, 9. Rosincin, 10. Stoff.
Pole position : Kryazin / Best lap : Nakajima

Round 8 – Lausitz (Oval)
Unfortunate on his French lands of Montlhéry, Arnaud Briand meet this time more success on the German oval of Lausitz. Having opted for a strategy with two pit stops, the driver of the Wygo Racing took away an event marked by numerous abandonments like those of Nakajima, Sammallus and Kuningas and also thanks to a fatal error of the pole man Kryazin (who get used tires in his last pit stop).
Many drivers gave up during this round, as Miller, Rosincin, Schmitt, Nerovny or MacLachlan, that allowed others like Libor Bilek (2nd) and Dan Daniel (3rd) to grab both their first podium. Ranked 33rd and last in his unlucky qualification, Andi Bernie Jr realizes the most beautiful recovery of the year by finishing 4th in front of brave Petra Toth 5th, Rudolf Wierenga 6th, Miguel Monteiro 7th, John MacDoe 8th, Leo Poeckl 9th, Rafa Diogo 10th, Christopher Duverge Lorenzo 11th, Juan Marcos Angelini 12th, Donald Mochtar 13th or still Joakim Bonnier 17th which sign all their better result of the year !
