Persberichten - Ferrari takes the double in Interlagos GP and keeps Formula 1 title "alive"

Ferrari takes the double in Interlagos GP and keeps Formula 1 title "alive"

Ferrari needed a miracle in order to keep "open" Formula 1 Drivers and Constructors F1 Championship, and a miracle came in Interlagos GP.

Robert Kubica "the Usurper" and Vasco Guerra "the Red Rocket", starting from the first raw, completed an historical double for their team with an advantage of 15 seconds on their competitors.

With Torvalds out for a crash and Miller involved in a recovery from the ninth place, Kubica and Guerra were able to create separation and to deploy their pace to finish the race alone.

An important statistic: the overall race time for Kubica and Guerra was 14 seconds below the overall time of last season winner (Miller).

"It was a great performance from our drivers" said Ferrari Head Engeneer Max Del Ragno "we worked on race mode in last weeks and this is the result we expected. If we are able to create separation our pace can make the difference as in COTA GP and here in Interlagos".

Journalist:"What are your expectations for the titles?"
Del Ragno:"For Constructors Championship we need a clean qualify, without it we would be out. Drivers Championship is much more complicated"
