Gentlemen Start your enigines seizoen 3 final standings

First of all: thanks to everybody who participated to this 3th season of the GSYE-series. It was a very, very nice season, with a lot of excitement. Again, we had a few top-drivers on the start, but also a lot of unknown talent. Every race was a battle for a top spot.

But, there only can be one champion. This season, it was Pablo León (manager Malarkey) who was the man to beat. But it wasn’t from race one; he took the sixt place and the second place in the race.
Leo Halle (manager Robbiemanta), the highest ranked player in the series, took off as a rocket and seemed to be the man to beat. But both drivers lost some points at the start of the season and was E Nuvolari (manager DorianDarkfire) who was at the rendez-vous and took the lead at the start of the season.
When three pilots seemed to share the podia, nothing was decided yet… and like always, there was someone who seemed to be the “one who no-one had expected”. Until race 16, J Gazica (manager fukara), was heading for the second place in the championship, but lost it towards the last 4 races.

So this was the final top3 for this year’s season:
1- Pablo León (manager Malarkey) Spain 834 points (7 wins, 14 podia, 16 top5, 18 top10, 9 poles, 3 fastest laps and 10 times most leading laps). Worst race was race 10: only 2 points there.
2- E Nuvolari (manager DorianDarkfire) Italy 769 points (7 wins, 11 podia, 14 top5, 18 top10, 0 poles, 5 fastest laps and 4 times most leading laps). Worst result was race 4, only 4 points.
3- J Gazica (manager fukara) Croatia 763 points (0 wins, 12 podia, 15 top5, 19 top10, 0 poles, 3 fastest laps and 1 time most leading laps). Worst result was race 2, 19 points (!)

If we go to a deeper analyses from this standing, you can see that when even riding very constant, without winning a race, it’s not possible to win the series… even if you worst result is a p12. The small difference is the grab of “side-points” (qualification, fastest laps, most leading laps). A difference of 65 points is still a lot. But a difference of 6 points (between Nuvolari and Gazica) is nothing. It was sooooo close. This made this series worth to follow, even for the neutral fan.

And then we have whole bunch of drivers who fighted every race for every point. I think the “midfield” was never so large and equally from strength. On place 15 we have J Alesi (manager EmlinDaw), who pulled of a show in race 4, by winning the race. No-one saw this coming. He made look the leaders in the standings as newbies. What a tremendous performance.

For the rest of the prizes we have:
Rookie of this series: Hilary Kręcikoło (manager BartłomiejIzdebski), he made it very difficult for me during almost every race. We had a few close battles (even some little contact… race incidents of course) and managed to finish on a very strong 18th place. Therefore, he received 3 coins.
The runner up (player with a lower rating that finished high above his ranking in the series): Reinhold Hinteregger Jr (manager Hinze). He received 1 coin.
And then… the fastest driver in a race. We had 2 drivers with a record of 5 times the fastest driver in a race. So, we have 2 winners. E Nuvolari (manager DorianDarkfire) and Leo Halle (manager Robbiemanta). Both received 1 coin.
