New Strategy Options

There have been many questions raised about the new race strategy options. Here you can find some more information about some of the latest features added to the game.

New Strategy Options

Standing start aggressivity is probaby the most tricky. It completelly replaces the pace set for the race in the first section of the track during the first lap. There were some concerns due to some extreme results in some unimportant races at the end of last season but don`t worry. All will be OK during the important season series races. I found small bug which made the lost time at start little higher than it should but I fixed it. Dont`t forget that once drivers get into fight for a place they both can lost some time so sometimes it is not direct result of mishandled start but result of fighting for position.

Here is small analysis of the current system. Average time on start is about the same for aggressivity 1 and 100 but the extremes are different. Best time for aggressivity 1 is around 0.01 seconds better than the average and the worst time is 0.2 seconds worse than the average. With this aggressivity probability of mistake is very low. For aggressivity 100 best time is around 0.14 seconds better than the average but the worst time is 0.57 seconds worse. Error in this case occurs frequently.
There is small influence of driver reactions and very small influence of technical skill. And the estimations were made on track where Formula 3 car needs 7 seconds from start to the first corner.

Overtaking aggressivity and blocking aggressivity might affect other innocent drivers therefore this influence is not so high as you might think. So don`t worry there will not be any kamikazes running on the track.
