プレスリリース - Lyn not worried after engine failure

Lyn not worried after engine failure

Everyone gasped in shock as Lyn Vos's car caught fire in her qualifying session in Autodrome de Linas-Montlhéry. But after the Dutch driver was dragged from her burning car, she seemed surprisingly chipper.

“I'm perfectly fine. The fire was in the engine and it wasn't going to get to me 'that' fast. I had barely stopped when people pulled me out of my car.”

When she was asked if this incident made her doubt her car, she shook her head.

“Naah. I pushed the engine too hard. My bad.”

When confronted with her relaxed attitude she shrugged with a slight smile.

“What happens, happens. Sooner or later everybody is dealt a bad hand. I'd rather have it happen now than during the race. And I'm actually somewhat fortunate. The race in Linas should probably take about 2 hours. That's a really long time. If I manage to keep my cool I think I should be able to move up quite a few places. I think a p10 finish is still within reach. 'If' I just manage a clean race.”

We also inquired about Christian Horner, who had now been linked to Rage.

“Christian told me that I should deny ever speaking to him. So... there you have it. I've never met Christian Horner. Oh, I know. I don't even know who he is!? If that doesn't prove that the claims are false, I don't know what will.”
