プレスリリース - Fired Up Rager at Watkins Glen | F3 America

Fired Up Rager at Watkins Glen | F3 America

A week after a mechanical failure in leg 1 and an incredible 20-position blast through the field in leg 2, Nick Wheeler drove a perfect lap to take his second pole of the series at Watkins Glen. The fired up Rage driver slammed his fists on the cockpit wall and let out a booming shout as he tossed his brand new helmet aside following his pole run. A helmet he's affectionately named "Old Liberty" which displays an image of a war-tattered American flag.

As he stormed away from his pit box, seeming more angry than jubilant, a few reporters shouted questions, but Wheeler was short on words. The only phrase anyone heard was allegedly as he passed by a Canadian reporter he was heard muttering "...useless machine knocking me out of a championship. Not today folks..."

The reporter stated that Wheeler continued to mumble as he walked through to his garage area, but was incoherent. Wheeler did not respond to any attempts at contacting him for clarification, but one could assume that Wheeler is unhappy with the manufacturer. His VOL machine failed 3 times in 3 consecutive races last week in a rare bad week. The American Rage driver has responded with 2 top 5's, 3 top 10's and a pole at the half-way point of this new week.
