Aston Martin Fan Championship - Season 3
With the fourth edition of the “Aston Martin Fan Championship” having just started, it is time to summarize how the 3rd edition went.
Felipe Campolargo won his third title! However the competition was once again very strong! With two races to go Mauricio Cruz and Howard Dewitt were fighting with Felipe for the victory!
As mentioned, Felipe Campolargo won the championship (3 wins and 6 podiums), Mauricio Cruz came 2nd (1 win and 7 podiums) and Vladimir Romadov came 3rd (2 wins and 5 podiums). In 4th place finished Howard Dewitt (1 victory and 5 podiums), Steven Klovansky finished 5th (1 victories and 3 podiums) and Vasco Guerra in 6th. Behind came Visvaldis Cels, in 8th Cupertino Jarbas, in 9th place finished Jamie Thorn. Veteran Nádia Portocarrero closed the top 10.
Nádia Portocarrero continues her position as the most successful driver at Aston Martin-FC (with 6 titles), she leads with 4246 points, 30 wins, 79 podiums, 103 top 5s, 111 top 10s and 29 fastest laps. But, Mauricio now leads the most pole positions with 39!
In the under-23s the championship was dominated once again by Simon Rasmussen with 6 wins and 8 poles ahead of Jan Pawlowski.
It's the 2nd title for Simon. The legend of the under-23s continues to be Tomás Gois Rocha with 3 titles. 2nd place in the classification went to Jan Pawlowski with 1 victory and 1 pole positions. Bernardino Campolargo finished in 3rd place with 1 victory and 1 pole but just 1 point behind Jan! Right behind came Marko Antonov II with 1 victory. In 5th place came Bernard Munster with 1 victory, just ahead of Michal Heczkoo with 2 podiums. In 7th place was Antonio Mateus, in 8th place Hude Gomes and Rafa da Costa in 9th place. Misa Rozsafny closed the top 10.
In the records table, Felipe Campolargo continues with the most points scored (2730), the most victories (26), the most podiums (45), the most top 5 finishes (56) and the most fastest laps (34). Tomás Góis Rocha is still the driver with the most top 10s (59) and the most titles (3).
This season, with Simon leaving the under-23 category, who will win the title? In the main class, will Felipe get his 4th title? Or will Mauricio get his 4th title?
As usual, Aston Martin will once again distribute 100 coins to the top 5 in the under-23 classification. Here is the distribution:
