Miguel Baines - Is it my time?
Back in season 3, Miguel Baines had his best performance ever with most recorded wins he ever had in one season as well as hitting number 1 in the uk rankings and top 50 in the world. Thing could only get better from here right?
Wrong! Thing have just gone downhill since and there is no valid reason to this downfall. Many things have been altered to try and get the great performances back but to no avail, despite having the odd win last season, the start of this season has been one to forget.
Multiple DNFs for mechanical reasons and not even having the pace in most races leaves Miguel baffled as to what he has done wrong these last 3 seasons and will it ever get better. We spoke to Miguel to see what his views are on this.
How do you think the last season and the start of this season have gone?
Awful! No words can describe how shocking it has been for me to log into my own career to find I cant even finish a race behind a safety car. Its getting beyond ridiculous to the point the race officials have had it in for me since I burst onto the scene in season 3.
So where does your future lie from here on?
My future will last another week or so if things dont pick up soon. In our young drivers programme back at base we have some very strong drivers waiting to step up and show their potential. If I had to pick one of them to replace me I think it would have to be Biguel Maines. He has a lot to show in this website and will be seeing a lot of podiums soon.
What about your team then? UK Elite?
Currently consisting of the UKs number 1 and number 2 Guy Wellington and myself we think we have a big enough gap in which to give our seats up to our young drivers programme in which hopefully we will be top 4 both me, welly, and the new 2.
Anything else you want to say before we finish?
I have a lot to say but I wont be allowed to so we will end it here
OK Miggy B we will let you get back to your car, hopefully you dont DNF another silly race
HA!
