Porsche Racing: End of an Era
For last 4 seasons Porsche Racing have been the Formula 1’s constant. We have managed to finish third three times and once we were forth.
The names and faces have remained constant as well.
This is why it felt like the end of an era, when Bruno Correa and Domi Ochs sat in their car for the last time, on the scorching asphalt of Yas Marina’s starting grid. They have both joined the team together and they have both managed to impress, as they were often punching above the weight of Porsche’s cars. They have also both stayed loyal to the end, even though it was clear that Porsche will never be able to hand them a car capable of fighting for a title. We are very grateful for their contribution, so a big THANK YOU.
With completely new lineup and new engine rules, there is a plethora of question marks lingering regarding team’s performance in the future. We have decided to concentrate on developing new engine, was that the right call, … With so many teams throwing their money at the wall hoping it would stick, a though season lies ahead of Porsche. Both new drivers are talented without a doubt. However, it remains to be seen, if they will be able to tame a car that hasn’t been developed fully.
In the end we also want to thank everyone that has helped us with their voting points donations and a special mention to SteveTee for his contribution.
