Season series selection is a tough choice

While I feel the pain of establishing yourself and your driver. I also have to reflect back on My drivers career. Foyt in his second season chose the risk to go into FE. There was legends in that series at the time. What I remember seeing that particular season. Was a field of drivers I believed Foyt could get some top 10 finishes. What happened was remarkable he managed a podium. For a 20 year old at the time That was incredible. At no time since in Foyt's career did his rating climb in single season meet that.. The conditions changed in following season to force a change..

My belief in my personal approach is to always keep your driver reguardless of age solidly in top 10 overall. Go to only series where you believe you can honestly get your driver if not in top 10 overall but finish in top 10 a lot!..

Now as for ratings intimidation of young drivers. if drivers have high rating and are in below 1.0 series.. Look at this way.. They are not very good so they are beatable! Even for U21 or even 18 yo.. They will make mistakes crashout! That why they are still in lower series they cannot handle the heat.

Now for drivers wishing to move up! Remember the series between 1.0 and 2.0 are tremendous opportunities! you can achieve 3k rating overall with great success there! Try to spend at least 2 seasons or more in season series. Track data both in setups and driver track knowledge will make you extremely competitive in your second season!

With that Race a lot! write down the races your currently in and the big 2.0 plus season series you want to go into.. Race there every time the track comes up! In this game knowledge for you the manager is your key to your success!

But be warned if you choose to advance very young to high series .. do not expect any season series wins until very Late in your career!

Finally I find it really no different today then when I started the game.. The biggest difference now is that the active dedicated player base is higher! so the overall ratings is higher!.. The same feelings for brand new driver and manager exist now as it did when I started.. But now with quick races and private series there is better chance to feel good about yourself and your driver facing similar drivers then when I started!

So Take heart If Foyt can a reach F1 team.. Everyone can reach there!
