Fisher off to a disastrous start
The Racing Times
Michael Fisher has had an utterly awful start to Season 5. He did get into the Croatian F3 series- but either crashed or finished well outside the points. The single races haven't been that kind either, with Fisher crashing out the first lap on many of those he's raced in. The only solace was on the Iowa oval, where he Finished 10th.
We caught up with him at Iowa
TRT: So Fisher, the new season wasn't kind to you. Whats the problem?
MF: I think it's a combination of multiple issues. Firstly, I know the phrase "A bad workman blames his tools", but the amount of times my car has just broken down is ridiculous. Secondly, it's the level of competition. It is a HUGE step up from the rookie series. Maybe i stepped up to early, but i'm just not quick enough. Thirdly, Driver errors. I'm still only young, and i'm bound to make mistakes. I have a team behind me to help with the mental side of driving, like patience and other things related around that.
TRT: So what's the plan now?
MF: Keep racing, take extra training, and adjust down a level of racing which suits me.
Most of Fisher's career so far has been mostly down, but remember, if there are downs, then there are bound to be ups on the other side.
