Does Fisher have the skills?
The Racing Times
Michael Fisher has been one of "the ones to watch" ever since he got to Formula 3, and has been showing promise. However, Fisher has crashed in the last 3 races, the most agonizing in the rookie series as he would have surely at least got on to the podium. Some now say he should never have even make the step up to F3, but his manager has faith in the 21 year old. He said "Michael has some great potential and we believe that this just form, not class. After all, form is temporary, class is permanent."
We caught up with him at his last race at Melbourne:
TRT: So Michael, the last few races have been less than brilliant. Are you feeling any pressure at all?
MF: No, My Manager is convinced i'm going to be some kind of superstar within 3 months. So i suppose i'm lucky as i probably won't be sacked, even if i deserve it.
TRT: So what about other things? Driver Training?
MF: Driver Training's going well, we're focusing on the mental side of a driver, working on concentration and things like that.
TRT: What about the future?
MF: well i'm only 21, and i am planning on entering an F3 series for next season. After that, who knows where i could end up?
TRT: Thanks for your time Michael, and good luck in the next few races.
MF: You're welcome, and thanks.
So, Fisher will not be to worried by this poor form, as he still has the full backing of his manager.
