End of the beach series looms.
With the final races to play out, Mark Cunningham was the only driver to score in 11 successive races before very poor showings from rounds 9, 10, 11 and 12 not only allowed Dlask, Kuks and Lakka to catch up, but likely ended any hope of winning the title or even keeping second or third in the championship chase, infact it could turn out a lot worse. If Mark scores only mediocre results it is very possible the strong position he held for so long will be reduced to 6th or lower in just two races.
"These things happen, i always knew it would be a long shot to keep up the pressure on the other drivers, the truth is they did far better then we did at Spain and Singapore. They deserve all the credit they get for fighting back from their own troubles." he went on to credit the drivers specifically, "At first i thought Checchino would be the champion of this championship then i found myself leading the chase for a few races! Then Lakka came back hard and did very well during the start of the second half of the season and then Kuks suddenly came from no where to be just a few points back!" in a moment of surprise, Mark stated, "Crazy!".
So far Mark's record of the season has included 1 win to his name and a potential of 13 top ten finishes from 14 races.
