Comunicati Stampa - Interview with Franco Pereira
Interview with Franco Pereira
The new season is already at full speed and our favorite driver - Franco Pereira - is already fighting for the highest place on the podium. We managed to be the first ones getting an interview with him.
Interviewer: After finishing second place on the Europe's F3 Series, what were you aiming for this season?
FP: Well, the team was ready to work on the indy series but due to a miscalculation of money we weren't able. So we decided to go for the second best choice - the F2 Europe series. The aim is simple - win everything!
Interviewer: Tell us more about last season. Were you expecting to become second place like you did?
FP: Before that season I had finished second place on the Portuguese F3 Series and going for the Europe Series was a big jump forward so we didn't had any idea whether we could fight for the title or would just be another name on the list. Fortunately, everything went better than expected and we got the second place, much better than what I thought we could.
Interviewer: We've heard you sent personal messages to some racers at the end of the season. Can you tell us who this drivers were and were the messages about?
FP: Hah! You guys are everywhere! That's true, I've sent a congratulations message to both Jonnas Vitorino, my main adversary in Portugal, and Roch Rochowski Jr., the current champion of F3 Europe's Serie. They didn't answered me back though *sad face*.
Interviewer: Well I'm sure it isn't anything personal. Back to the current season: you're holding second place quite close to the first place. Do you think you'll manage to reach your aim?
FP: Of course! I know it won't be easy because Edvinas Pavlovas will most definitely give his best to keep me in second place and he is a top driver but with work and effort I believe I can outrun him.
Interviewer: We also have information that you're running on another series, the Premiere Oval Series XIX. What can you tell us about it?
FP: That's not going as well as we've planned. Even though I'm close to the first places there, we've been experiencing many crashes and accidents. We're not focusing too much on it anyway, all of our attention is on the F2 series but the aim is still to get the first place and I'm sure we can make it.
Interviewer:Thank you for this interview.
Franco Pereira is currently holding 2nd place on the F2 Europe's series and is considered to be the best Portuguese driver and the 30th best of the world.
