Goodbye Mr. Ray

Silverstone, UK. The Indy Jr circus arrives in Britain, and the home town fans have two things to celebrate.

Ray Striver Narrowly missed out on pole by a fraction, just 0.021 behind Finn Michael Monroe, and looks in great shape to challenge for the win on Tuesday, but the post session press conference was to be the scene of what may be considered a premature decision by the Brit.

After seasons of unrest, highs and lows and several records to his name, Ray has finally called it a day.

"It was always going to be the UK where I announced my retirement, this way Silverstone will be my final race, as we are already prepared. I'm only 24, but there is so much promise in our academy driver that I didn't want to hold him back, we got the money together for some very experienced staff and I sold him all my cars".

Into the room steps Britain's newest Rookie, Noah Vale, who is mic'd up and answered our questions, the most pressing of which is exactly how a young teenager managed to buy a Ferrari, a McLaren, a Lotus, a Mercedes SLS and a hoard of F3 chassis.

"Ray didn't ask for much, a life pass for free KFC, an undisclosed amount of cheesecake and a family pack of helium balloons. The last one was pretty tricky to procure, can you believe I found these in a field surrounded by cash!? I also found Strivers house keys and wallet, along with several photographs, but these have been immediately reclaimed by Mattseagull..."

Ray leaves behind a significant legacy. He will likely remain at UK#2 Ranking for some several months while Vale seeks to emulate two hugely successful names to be trained by Adamski.

"72 Wins and 363 Podiums is a long long way from our capabilities for some time" said Noah, "He also won British F3 title in his Rookie year, we have high hopes for Season 13, but we have come at this a little different compared to Adamski's previous drivers. Naturally he has a strict set of goals we aim to achieve, altered slightly from previous challengers as this industry has evolved somewhat."

"Firstly we aim to hit the UK top 5, preferably within five Seasons, secondly to take more than one Series Championship as Ray had a bit of a reputation for being Mr 2nd place."

The rest of the teams plans remain under wraps, which can no longer be said of their new car, and overall team re-branding. Taking influence from V8 Supercars, the former Crazy Torque outfit will now run as Pepsi Max Crew in all F3, MOTO and Private disciplines, running the number 2.

So with that, Noah Vale has landed. Taking up the challenge laid down by friend and co-patriot Pete Stoppe.

Two major announcements yesterday. The first was the launch of the national associations, where countries from around the MRC globe will compete for glory and honour. The second may prove to seriously dent the British Team for this event. Ray Stri...
