New Driver looking for a fast start
Season 3 will no doubt be the most competitive season for MRC yet but new American driver Joseph Long seems up to the challenge. Joining late in the season last year Long has proven he has the ability to be a consistent top ten finisher in this year's Rookie Series. In 30 starts he's managed to finish in the top 10 five times as well as an 8th place qualifying effort at the Rookie Series race at Mid Ohio."There have certainly been some growing pains," said the 25 year old racer out of Tulsa, Oklahoma."Crashing out at Mid-Ohio was a huge disappointment because we had a real shot at the podium there. But I'm living the dream I've had since I was a child and I couldn't be happier and more optimistic about this year's Rookie Series." Driving a Volvo powered Lola chassis Long has high hopes for this season and is looking forward to getting his first podium, and maybe with some luck, his first race win in MRC this this year. "We've proven that the car has the pace to keep up with some of the fastest in F3. Now it's just up to me to keep my focus and keep the car out of the tire barrier. If I can do that, there will be some very good finishes for us in the future."
