Vos: U.S. 10th series is one to watch
Nick Wheeler's comments about the state of racing in the USA have resonated through the racing world. The latest news is that, Wheeler, Brandon Knight and Drummond Bennet might all partake in the 10th USA series. Even in Portugal some people have taken notice of the stage that is being set.
We met up with the Dutch Lyn Vos and her team. The young driver stands 10th in the driver rankings after 12 races. And managed to claim a podium finish last Sunday. While most of her her staff wasn't too interested in what was brewing in America, Lyn was.
I can't believe Wheeler said what he did.
But when asked whether this meant she didn't approve she shook her head.
It's not easy for us young drivers to make our mark. Sometimes you've gotta put yourself out there, it's the only way you'll get people to notice you. I'm hoping Wheeler, Knight and Bennet all end up competing, it'll be a fun season to watch. I think they have the drive to make it, so ofcoure I've taken some interest.
What about yourself? Can we expect team Vos to travel to the USA as well?
Hmm... Probably not. I'm enjoying myself in Portugal. And I think I can still improve my skills by competing here for the 10th series. But we'll get a chance to race against each other soon, I'm sure. And when we do, I'll just have to make sure it's neither a Yank or a Brit who ends up on top.
