Hot Young Prospect Wins First Points
Just a few minutes ago in Shanghai youngster Brandon Knight took 10th position and his first career points in the Far-Far-East Series opener. Quick on the track but perhaps still a little immature mentally Knight has shown good early pace in his F3 car regularly outperforming more experienced drivers.
Knight's manager Alex Wresdan, also a newcomer to the racing scene but a long time sports manager with a long history in American Football, Worldwide Soccer and a variety of other sports, speaks very highly of his young driver. We caught up with him at the press event after the race.
When we cuaght up with Alex he expressed his delight in seeing Brandon come home in the top 10 but stated that Brandon himself felt he might have done better given he qualified in 9th. It will definitely be interesting to see what the second leg holds for us later on.
Brandon is also coming up to his first race in the Rookie series. Given his pace in single races and the FFE series we are expecting some good things for him there too.
So is Brandon Knight a star of the future or a flash in the pan? We'll let you know.
