Development Going Well for Vanderpuije
Imperius Vanderpuije says training for his entrance into next year's Formula 2 championship up from the Rookie Series is going "very, very smoothly".
At 19 years of age Vanderpuije is competing against many other skilled drivers more known and more experienced than him. Having taken the North American Streets XIV championship title after missing the first two races and winning 6 races out of a current total of 32 attempts, whiles crashing out of two other sure wins, he and his management believe that he'll be ready for the step up.
"The management is putting me through some rigorous training to get me up to par for next year. Things have been going very well and I trust I'll be ready for the challenge." says Vanderpuije. "I'll be building up my CV enough so that hopefully I'll be in with a chance at competing in Formula 2. Those are our current goals for my career. I've made some mistakes here and there this year, I've also started two races late in the Rookie Series! The season is young though, there are plenty of opportunities for me to notch up more wins and possibly titles too! I did it in the North American Street Series and I can do it here."
Winning the Rookie Series will be key for Imperius' shot at a spot in a Formula 2 series.
