Sunday @ Croft
Friday night at Croft saw one of the most turbulent races in recent history. A race where G. Brammer had to out-score R. Striver to take the title to a final race showdown in the English countryside on Sunday.
A resurgent B. Maines took his second victory of the campagne in a battle that saw himself, Striver, Brammer and an off-strategy V. Munney exchanging pleasantries between 1st and 4th for over half of the race! This exhibitionist masterclass in old-school racing a fitting pre-requisite to the title decider.
Striver goes into the race 24 points clear of Brammer meaning he can finish anywhere in the top 9 to take the crown where-as Brammer has to win.
Maines however has the bragging rights of costing Striver his Qualifying record, taking pole by 0.040.
Striver responded with:
"How long did your lead last mate? 4 laps?... I jest. Maines is a powerhouse and I'd sooner have no-one else as a right hand man going into Sunday.
Stay tuned! Its gone down to the wire!
