Double DNF forces Solo to fight while Striver makes big steps for Championship
Oulton - it was not Solo's best weekend indeed. While his competition scored nice points a technical failure with the gearbox and an accident in the 2nd race brought him back in the run for the title.
Still Ben Solo could smile:"It was my turn for a DNF. I am happy for Ray. He deserves the title, look at his pole positions...clearly the fasteest out here.
But do not be too sure, mate...I am coming to get you!"(smirks)
Stiver was quite reserved and named the situation "title hopes", which was a surprising understatement for Brammer who is 3rd in the game. Easily scoring two wins from Pole in Snetterton Striver is definetly the man to beat now.
With 32 points over Brammer which has an advantage of 2 points to Solo, Striver goes into the next weekend in Knockhill.
It is clear that there will be a serious fight for good points, but as Solo said earlier this Season, anything can happen.
Folks, you do not want to miss the Qualification in Knockhill, where one of the important tasks is to have a start in the front row. Otherwise, too much points are given away in the first race, as Solo had to learn it the hard way in Snetterton.
Though he finished 6th, he mananged to keep up with Striver in the 2nd race and finished next to him on the podium.
"This 2nd is nice. Ray did a perfect weekend and I had only a hope to catch him, but he was too quick!"
Can Striver let another perfect weekend ruin all title hopes for Brammer and Solo or will there be a showdown in Croft?
It is your choice not to miss it, so stay tuned!
