Aston Martin Fan Championship - Season 2
The 2nd edition of the “Aston Martin Fan Championship” has just ended.
Felipe Campolargo won his second title! However the competition was again very tight until the last race with Mauricio Cruz as the title was decided by only 10 points!
As mentioned, Felipe Campolargo won the championship (5 wins and 10 podiums), Mauricio Cruz came in 2nd (2 wins and 10 podiums) and Eddie Bellamy placed 3rd (2 wins and 7 podiums). In 4th place was Jamie Thom (2 podiums), Nádia Portocarrero ended up in 5th (1 podium) and young Noé Nogueira in 6th. Behind was Yolanda Carrapatelo, in 8th place came Cupertino Jarbas, in 9th place the impressive Simon Rasmussen. Jaakko Korhonen rounded out the top 10.
Even though Felipe won his second championship, Nádia Portocarrero remains in her position as the most successful driver at Aston Martin-FC (with 6 titles), she leads with 4246 points, 30 wins, 79 podiums, 103 top 5, 111 top 10, 30 poles and 29 fastest laps.
In the under-23s, the championship was dominated by Simon Rasmussen with 7 wins and 6 poles ahead of Jan Pawlowski.
It is the 1st title for Simon. The under-23 legend continues to be Tomás Gois Rocha with 3 titles. 2nd place in the standings was to Jan Pawlowski with 2 wins and 3 poles. Bernardino Campolargo finished in 3rd place with 1 win. Close behind came Marko Antonov II with 4 podiums. In 5th place came Sergey Belyaev with 1 podium, just ahead of the impressive young António Mateus with 1 podium! In 7th place was Antonio Balague with 1 podium, in 8th place Jordão Castro and Ann-Cha Nilsson in 9th place with 1 podium. Hude Gomes closed the top 10.
In the record table, Felipe Campolargo continues with the most points conquered (2730), the most victories (26), the most podiums (45), the most top 5 (56) and the most fastest laps (34). Tomás Góis Rocha is still the driver with the most top 10 (59) and most titles (3).
Will Simon get his 2nd title for next season? In the main class, will Felipe equal Mauricio in the number of titles or will the latter get his 4th title?
As usual, Aston Martin will again distribute 100 coins among the top 5 of the sub-23 classification. Here is the distribution:
1 - Simon Rasmussen - 30 coins
2 - Jan Pawlowski - 25 coins
3 - Bernandino Campolargo - 20 coins
4 - Marko Antonov II - 15 coins
5 - Sergey Belyaev - 10 coins
