Midwest Cup Announces Changes For Season 4
CLEVELAND, Ohio - This evening, Jacen Caedus, owner of Caedus Motorsport and primary sponsor for the American Midwest Cup, announced the schedule for the fourth season of the series, including several changes to the calendar.
Two new tracks are being added to the schedule. The ninth and tenth rounds will be held at the Chicago Street Course and Gateway Motorsports Park, which will replace the rounds previously held at Autobahn Country Club and Chicagoland Speedway.
"We think these additions will add to the excitement for both the drivers and the fans," Caedus said during the press conference in which the schedule was announced.
In addition, it was announced that many of the rounds held on oval tracks would have their race distance extended. "We thought the oval rounds needed a change to create more interesting strategy decisions for the teams, and we think that extended the race distance will help with that," Caesus said regarding the change.
The American Midwest Cup is a tour of racetracks throughout the midwest states of the United States. It will be entering its fourth season of competition next season. The first race is set for January 23 at 5:30 PM EST, with qualifying to be held the day before.
