Breaking News: Edmond Kale To Leave Formula E After Current Season
Indonesian driver, Edmond Kale has announced that he will no longer participate in Formula E after the end of current season. This announcement was made during a press conference before the FE World Series Bern. His PR Manager, Ryan Fer confessed that the management are struggling to get him sponsors that willing to pay for his Formula E seat. "It's so hard now, his performance was really bad, we are losing sponsors. A seat in Formula E is quite expensive, everyone knows that. His performance isn't good enough to attract sponsors that have interest on paying for his seat," Said Fer on the press conference.
After being asked about the plan for next season, Fer mentioned that Kale will join a championship where he can fight for points or even podium. Fer also mentioned that going back to Formula E is one of their long term goals.
"The focus right now is to put him in the right place. We will search for a championship that allows him to fight and gives him the opportunity to stand on the podium. We need to gain our reputation back so that we can get more sponsors, after that, we can talk about a Formula E comeback or even a Formula 1 debut. One at a time,"
At the same press conference, Kale also gave his official statement regarding this issue, "It's been a hard season, our goal was to get as many points as possible, but we failed. I want to say sorry to all my fans and sponsors for my race results this season, and hopefully I will learn a lot next season,"
