Jackson's NASC Truck Career Comes To An End
This season Larry Jackson entered his fourth season in the NASC Truck Series and it started terribly. He finished 13th after qualifying in the top 5 at Daytona and he struggled all throughout the race. After the season opener, Larry was able to get into a good rhythm posting up three straight podiums including his first career win. He continued to have a brilliant regular season but wasn't able to get another win despite being really consistent. During the first round of the playoffs, Larry was driving pretty well as he came 2nd, 5th, and 4th in the three races. In the second round of the playoffs, he had the same three results as he finished 5th, 2nd, 4th and he also qualified to make the Championship 4. In the final race of the season, Larry struggled in qualifying as he qualified 6th. Throughout the race, he continued to fall further back and a bad pit strategy put him in 12th place on the last lap. A last-lap pass put Larry in 11th and he finished the most important race of his career in a terrible position, despite having the fastest lap of the race. Larry Jackson finished his final Truck season with a win, 12 podiums, 18 top 5's, and 19 top 10's. He will enter his first Silver Cup Series season next season with Canusa APC Racing and he will join future teammate Sean Molloy.
