Motorcycles Series Future
Motorcycles competition in our game is currently not very interesting for some people. There is not big hunger for chasing glory with motorbikes because currently everybody`s dream is to race in Formula 1. We will try to change this and make the motorcycle racing career path as interesting as we have with car racing.
So this is my plan for the future of motorcycle racing at MyRacingCareer.com.
Motorcycles Career Path
We will start with implementing driver focus at the moment of driver creation. Circuit and motorcycle career paths (and also Rally in the future) will be part of the choices. This choice can be changed anytime during the career but will affect automated actions in the game.
Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing
The Grand Prix motorcycle racing series will be the core of the game as is now but more advanced. In addition to the current series, there will be more to come.
MOTORCYCLES ROOKIE SERIES
New drivers with motorcycles career paths will automatically participate in Motorcycles Rookie Series which will be raced with Moto3 bikes. Participation in this series will be limited to U23 drivers only.
GP MOTORCYCLES SEASON SERIES TREE
Our season series tree will be inspired by real-life series. Of course, we will use our own names to avoid breaking trademarks.
- Moto1 World Series
- Moto2 World Series
- Moto3 World Series (U26)
- MotoE World Series
- Moto2 European Series (U28)
- Moto3 Junior Series (U21)
- Moto2 Asian Series (U26 - part of Asia Road Racing Championship)
MOTO1 TEAMS
Moto1 will be the top motorcycle road racing series in the game but will be improved from the current version. We will add Moto1 teams similar to what we have with F1, but with some changes.
We will not have Moto1 teams but rather Moto1 motorbikes manufacturers. I expect 6 manufacturers. Each manufacturer will support 2 factory drivers and 2 satellite drivers. The chassis and engine for all drivers will be identical but supplier parts like brakes or suspension can be different. Factory drivers can get better and more expensive parts while satellite drivers might get cheaper.
There will be 2 major sponsors for each manufacturer. One for factory bikes and another for satellite bikes.
There will be simplified motorcycle development compared to F1 car development with fewer parts needed.
Facilities will probably stay the same as we have in F1.
Superbikes
Superbike racing motorcycles are derived from standard production models, so for a bike to be eligible, the manufacturer must first homologate the model and manufacture the required number of roadgoing machines. While rules vary from series to series, in general, the motorcycles must maintain the same profile as their roadgoing counterparts, with the same overall appearance as seen from the front, rear and sides.
Superbike World Championship aka WorldSBK is the world's second major motorbike series. And there are smaller series raced with these bikes.
- Superbike World Series (WorldSBK)
- Superbike American Series (MotoAmerica)
- Superbike Asian Series (Asia Road Racing Championship)
- Superbike European Series (European Superstock 600 Championship)
- Superbike British Series
There are also some regional and national series and we might add some of them if the interest is really high.
Supersports
Supersport regulations are much tighter than in Superbikes. The chassis of a supersport machine must remain largely as standard, while engine tuning is possible but tightly regulated.
Supersport World Championship aka WorldSSP is the third major but least prestige series in motorcycle road racing. All Supersport series are raced as support series to Superbikes. So we can expect these:
- Supersport World Series
- Supersport American Series
- Supersport Asian Series
- Supersport European Series
Speedway Grand Prix
Speedway racing is my favorite motorcycle discipline probably because of successful Slovakian rider Martin Vaculik. So I would like to add this as a minor series for fans of this awesome sport and I guess some polish managers might be happy about that :)
SPEEDWAY SERIES
Racing model in real life Speedway is pretty simple. Except for two major individual series, there are national leagues that are team events and do not fit to this game concept. So depending on the interest between managers, we will have only
- Speedway World Series
- Speedway European Series
