After the price ceremony in Martinsville, Truls Lillebo was asked a series of questions about the future and the wrangling between Diesel and younger drivers.
Here is the summary of what the down to earth Norwegian had to say:
I'm really happy to win here in Martinsville as it was my first oval win, and I even got to beat Grandi. Allthough he didn't seem to be at his best with a quali at P7.
When it comes to Eduardo, I've got to say I'm a bit astounded. I never imagined he would be this arrogant. However i do agree that he is way better than the guys who thought they were the best, and also way better than me. Everyone can beat a F1 driver when they have a bad race/quali like i did.
My manager and I actually did a lot of research to the matter of training speed of the upcoming youngsters and compared them to the racers in F1. And the results points to that Diesel will be a very weak F1 driver in a few seasons.
Average single skill increase(like pace) per day:
Grandi: 0,76
Di Rado: 0,66
PSG: 0,61
Jukna: 0,56
Diesel: 0,32
As you can see, he's far behind both older and younger competitors, now let's look at some guys who might be seen in F1 soon at age 23 or less:
Rapido: 0,63
Gnojarzowski 0,57
Abramowicz 0,52
And some youngsters who have a way to go, but learning very fast:
Suchar 0,66
Marko 0,65
Tundra 0,65
Bezrukov 0,63
Novikov 0,61
Budellacci 0,60
Berger Jr 0,59
Monteiro 0,58
Lamy 0,58
Italiano Jr 0,58
And the Norwegian tag team:
Solberg 0,59
Lillebo 0,59
A lot of others are also close to or as high, but I can't make name them all. This is the future! The future stars of racing.
Not Impressed
After today´s custom series win, Diesel was once again asked about other drivers during his interview. Asked if he ever heard the name Aboagye or if he knows the manager dudesteve65, Diesel replied: "Man I am so happy I won this series and yo...
