Brandon Knight Struck by Lightning?
In what has become a deluge of retirements recently one of the more suprising ones could well be that of young hotshot Brandon Knight. Just days after taking victory in the final race of the Road Rage custom series the Young Driver has been released by his manager Alex Wresdan. Wresdan had this to say...
"Brandon was a great young Driver but after a long and hard discussion we decided that MRC was no longer the place for him to Race. His own feelings towards the setup here, his desire to be a properly rounded driver and not a 'by the numbers' racer meant we decided to part ways. He will continue to be a good friend and this was a mutual parting".
We haven't been able to catch up with Knight himself but there seems to be no bad blood between him and his manager. Within mere hours of Knights departure Alex Wresdan had already secured his next young prospect, one Jackson Storm. He had this to say
"Jackson is young but he has a great head for racing and learns more quickly than anoyone I have met in this game before. He is also one of the most personable guys I've had the fortune to work with and the crew and team here are thrilled to be working with him. Unlike with Knight I won't be looking for immediate results from Jackson, we're in this for the long haul...and this time I really mean it!"
So there we have it, Wresdan doesn't expect his new driver to be making any headlines yet, but he seems to expect great things down the line.
