New Things And Small Bits

New Things And Small Bits

This article is basically a review of all new things added to the game these last few days. Also, we will know who won Create-a-Track!

New Things And Small Bits

CREATE-A-TRACK WINNER

The past Create-a-Track competition has taken a bit longer than usual. More than 20 track designs were received but only one winner could be selected, and the winner is...

-Silesian Park by Komanch, who has won 100 coins as a prize.

It will be on the game shortly, and should be a fast, flowing track. A new one for our Polish friends!

NEW THINGS

As you might have seen the MRC Team has been working behind the scenes. We all want the big projects but minor improvements and things that make the game even more user-friendly are always welcome, so here's a small recap of the new things that have been added.

NATIONS CUP

-As expected, this season has seen the introduction of the new Nations Cup car which was designed by Alphanumerix. Together with it, Nations Cup has seen the introduction of DRS in the series.

-Also this season, senior, U25 and U21 standings have been separated to better see how is everyone doing in their respective classes.

-Eligibility of drivers is from now on decided by the age on day 1 of a season. So if your driver is 21 at the start of the season, he/she will be able to race in U21 the whole season.

RATINGS

-Ratings in Moto series have been adjusted, with Moto2, Moto3 and MotoE being slightly less rated that they were.

-This is a change that might appear counterproductive, but it has been made in view of a larger coming change. As you might have seen in your driver screens, you can see your ratings split as Circuit, Rally and Moto. The goal is to prevent someone who has spent his career in cars to come up to Moto1 and do well, and viceversa. This system will be nurtured in the future with a bigger variety of series, as currently it's too heavily weighted towards Circuit racing.

SERIES

-NASC series have been adjusted to the actual fuel tank size and fuel consumption. Tyre consumption has also been adjusted in order to make it more similar to real life.

-Private series have received two improvements. One is the ability to have F1-style qualifying if you select 2 or 3 qualifying attempts, and the other is the possibility to set minimum and maximum rating limits.

MISCELLANEOUS

-Tracks that have DRS zones for F1 and Nations Cup now have the DRS zones listed on their track page.

-Retire Driver button has been moved lower in order to avoid accidentally hitting it while trying to get to Season Series from your own driver page.

Many more things will be coming. Racing Clubs are being tested, and you might have read on our Tumblr the future visions for Nations Cup and Motorcycling in MRC.
While changes might not always be liked by everybody, I'm certain that we will end up with a better game experience.

Let's finish it off by wishing you all good health and safe days during the lockdowns, and please don't be bored - there's always MRC to play! :)
