Trevor Harvey and Dylan Lopez pay respects to Phillip Hughes
Although Trevor Harvey is participating in the F3 Oceania Series at Bathurst in less than one hour, he and his manager Dylan Lopez attended the funeral of Phillip Hughes just this afternoon. After completing his practice runs, they made the 8 hour road trip overnight to pay theirnrespects at the Macksville High School, where the funeral was being held at. They hung around for some words with the local news station.
Harvey: Obvioiusy we were devastated when we heard of Phillip's passing. My manager and I were so distraught because we do play cricket in the off-season down in Melbourne together.
Lopez: I've never felt so emotional. Hughesy was a fantaatic bloke, and the speeches from his siblings, his cousin, best mate, and Australian Cricket Captain Michael Clarke just showed how he was loved by everyone.
Harvey's Rage teammates in Bennett and Knight were Rumored to attend as well, but were not seen during the funeral or procession, and Harvey is currently flying back to Bathurst for Qualifying. Harvey will also be paying his respects by sporting Hughes' Test Cricket Number on his Front Wing, Baggy Green 408.
- RIP Phillip Hughes, you will be dearly missed.
