Trucks | Rookies Hit Jackpot in Vegas
Friday afternoon the NASC Truck Series will come to the green following a pair of rookies to kick off round 2 of the playoffs. Snicker Doodle in the #7 Se7en Racing machine and Sean Molloy in the #28 Steevies Boys truck successfully locked 6 playoff veterans out of the front row on Thursday.
Snicker Doodle finds the pole for the first time in the Truck Series in a pivotal Round 2 start, sitting just 1 point behind Bela Villanyi for the 4th and final advancement spot. Meanwhile Molloy, just a point further behind equals his best qualifying position of the season, matching his performance in Atlanta, a race won on strategy by Doodle.
The two front row starters have a history of banging fenders, though most of it was in their early rookie season days. They've seen little to no issues throughout the Season 37 Truck Series, but with only 3 points separating 4th-7th in the playoff standings, who knows how the drivers will react to the pressure.
