Lehdistötiedotteet - F3 Masters Round 3 Zandvoort Round-Up: Winners and Losers

F3 Masters Round 3 Zandvoort Round-Up: Winners and Losers

Like I said earlier, spreadsheet is out now so check it out if you want to guys :D https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jBxrkc3XxXM_Z1ZxfS0QdOP1RAzzb3R1H-3_bVnEQTc

Anyways I'm back with another round-up (yes it's that time of day)

Winners:

Bartek Szybki:
Ok, might've been caught out with the rain in the Sprint Race where he could only finish 7th but he's managed to get the win he was waiting for, brilliant pace and consistency combined, with a cheeky overcut and still extended the lead which was enough to win him the race and put him right in the clutches of the older Rafael Drummond in the championship standings, fucking hell, this kid ain't playing, he's actually bloody serious.

Terry Fullerton:
Managed to deliver a fantastic meeting, twice the runner-up in both races which I think he's gotten the most points out of anyone, a brilliant strategy in the mixed conditions got him there and he managed to stay there but when Palmu lost a bit of front wing, he got himself there with the safety car not helping and couldn't find a way past and in the end he got overcut by Szybki but still a really good weekend.

Vincent Ritter:
Another great meeting for the young Frenchman, was on the pace in every session but he might regret that two-stop in the end but he still gained a bit from it and set some fast laps but not enough for the final podium spot.

Dawid Melnarowicz Jr.
He's a regular, another podium finish to his name, good consistency throughout the meeting.

Marc Montane:
Finally gets a mention after being stuck in the shadows for too long and it couldn't have came at a better time, his best round to date so far, might've fallen down in the Sprint but came back up in the Feature to finish only a spot down from his Qualifying spot, not a bad day's work.

Petter Solberg Jr.
Got a podium when he was one of the guys to get the strategy right but the safety car screwed him over otherwise he would've been finishing in the top 5 but still took a result that was better than he managed before.

Tony Muller:
No points but continues to show that he's the best of the 18 year olds.

Tomas Pasek:
Another points finish for him but since he kept up his pace to the other guys, it was a sweeter result for him

Jukka Palmu:
Won Sprint Race when he got it right but unforunately, damaged his front wing on some kerbs and had to fall down to 6th but the good news is that he's not far from the title fight.

Averages:

Mack Zaggro:
Started from the bottom, now we're here and we're back to the bottom again, nuff said.

Nah serious, strategy slapped him in the face again.

Zahara Starwing:
Same as above but this time it was a slow puncture that ruined her feature race.

Steve Wallace:
Quiet meeting for him but brought himself some decent points.

Bruno Dacosta:
Finally managed to finish a race with a decent result but couldn't hold that for race 2 when his race ended early as usual or should I say too early?
Ok bad joke, NEXT

Losers:

Rafael Drummond:
Needed a sandbagged meeting and Zandvoort was the one for him but now he's just got to becareful of Szybki, I heard he's dangerous(ly fast) and he could nick the title off you.

Harvey Evans:
Another one who couldn't recover from the Sprint Race Shenagaians and he only made up a place the whole race, ouch.

Ludek Valenta Jr.
Mixed conditions wasn't a problem for him, it was just one lap quali shot that put him in the back.

Josh Rush:
I told you his Lola chassis was never going to be good around Zandvoort and could only salvage a point the whole weekend, despite starting way back in the field.

Marc Vilanova:
Promising qualifying, starting on the 2nd row but was one of the biggest losers in term of the mixed conditions strategy before in the feature race, struggled to make progress before binning it in the wall with a few laps from home, what a waste of a beautiful lap by the Youngster.

David Lumbreras Jr.
His chance to score decent points gone up in the smoke the same time his engine did.

Alex Reis:
Worst meeting he could ever think of, didn't seem to gain much from the strategy despite climbing up lots of places and then fell back down, struggled for downforce and grip really.

Pablo Bruno:
Yet to finish a feature race despite finishing his sprints.

Zach Austin:
Victim of the one shot quali really once again, however he made decent progress in the races and was pretty much top 10-15 when it came to race pace

Carl Pietrzak:
Lost it on the damp part of the racetrack and he couldn't come back from that.

Thanks for reading, they are only for fun :D and we'll see you at the beautiful track of Spa-Francorchamps.

Yeah, a winner mention! I feel with my driver's level and 4 or 5 26 year old drivers, getting near the top 10 is what my driver should shoot for at least. Also nice touch with the driver numbers on the spreadsheet - mine using number 0 thanks to g...

Mack To The Future...

Reacting to recent defamatory statements; British driver Mack Zaggro hit back (in the most jovial, community friendly way possible...) to being branded "average" by his co-patriot rival manager in a recent Press Release. Zaggro was on th...
