RAGE F1 - FORD MOTORSPORT

"You can have it any color you like...as long as it's black."

The immortal words of a certain Mr. Henry Ford at the release of his 1908 Model T, the car that would bring automobiles to the masses and spark a transport revolution that lives on to this day. However little did Mr Ford know that his little car company would one day partner with the Rage motorsports outfit to take on the world of MRC Formula One.

The deal was penned earlier this season but has been under wraps until the release could be made official. The name change should go through today and the team will officially become Rage F1 - Ford Motorsports.

Ford are a well known manufacturer to say the least. They have been around since 1903 and have been involved with and or won just about every major motorsports event in the world at some point or another. In NASCAR their cars have won over 1000 races. In The V8's they have won over 300 and in the world of GT racing their cars are so iconic you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who doesn't know at least one of them. However it is to Formula One that the team now turns it's focus. Of course the company is not without success here. Ford engines have taken cars to a total of 176 victories making them the second most successful engine builders in F1 history and while they haven't had as much success as manufacturers in their own right, Rage hopes to help them change that (eventually).

Rage F1 is the new branch of Rage Motorsports, the well known, sometimes controversial, always competitive and arguably most influential racing group in MRC. Having purchased the flailing HamrHedz team earlier this season Rage spent little time in putting together a future plan for the team and immediately approached FORD as a partner. Rage bring to the table their considerable experience, talent and funding by way of major sponsorship and shareholding, Ford bring their name, facilities and public support from around the globe, although the team will remain based in the USA, the home of Ford.


As part of the teams inaugural season celebrations and re-branding Ford will spend it's first season decked out in black, honoring the company's founder and traditions before moving on to a more up to date design for season 22 and beyond.



Rage F1 - Ford is headed up by Palerider and Wresdan but incorprates the talents of a variety of the Rage members, not least those of previous HamrHedz boss Lee1950.

Season 21 will boast an all new car under the new design, with a full aero package and new cooling system. The team has secured the continued services of F1 veteran Martin Segura as well as bringing in current USA number 1 and Audi F1 driver Bruce Wayne, conveniently managed by Lee.

While the team very assuredly has it's hopes grounded in reality it is hoping for an improvement on the current season and is looking forward to racing in season 21 and beyond.
