[F1] WAR - Back to the Spotlight
Season 17 was the most important season for WAR in a very long time. Our expectations were well funded and we were able to consolidate our comeback with steady results and great improvements. Rui B. Martins and Max Vanderpuije made it to the points on several occasions and even when they didn't they performed brilliantly, improving their starting grid positions on a regular basis. The improvement on the track payed off financially as well with a great boost to ranking, prize money and sponsors. The season now behind us will most likely become a landmark in WAR history as the season that enabled us to return to the middle/top tier teams.
NEW SHAREHOLDERS COME ABOARD
Portuguese managers Micos and ClaudioMonteiro and brazilian manager JucaMacieira joined the team. We were happy to welcome them to the team. It is good to see interest returning to our team in a grand scale and our new board members are already bringing in value assets and fresh ideas to the team.
WAR SUPERCUP - Edition I
As usual WAR has special consideration for the satisfaction and amusement of it's fans and friends in general. And it's because of that that we at WAR have our very own competition, the WAR-FC, our official competition is exclusive to our fantastic fans and has had a lot of success among all of you. With the new Private Series feature, we are now complementing our usual WAR championship with the new official WAR SUPER CUP. Made for our fans, with appealing prize money and no entry fee, it is a success even before starting, filling up drivers driver seats in just a couple of days. It promises a lot of excitement for the 35 drivers that will hit the tracks on day one of the next season.
SEASON 18
Our developments in the new KERS were great news and the aerodynamics for next season were also an improvement. New challenges will come next season with new rules, but WAR is ready to face the new challenges and keep improving even further. We want to keep scoring on a regular basis and we're getting a more competitive car every new season. Season 18 smiles at us and we smile back, with a brand new livery to go with the brand new car.
DRIVER LINEUP
WAR will feature an-all Portuguese lineup next season. Rui B. Martins will continue. The veteran driver as proven his consistency and, on what he expects to be his retirement season, wants to give more joys to the fans. Vanderpuije moved along to another F1 project and we wish him the best of lucks. We had a great time with him in our team and he will always have an open door to return. Making his F1 debut, Johnny Da Costa Jr will complete the lineup. He is one of the best drivers in MRC not yet in F1 and we are very happy to see him in our team.
