Tobias back on track!

After a disappointing week in Assen last week, Tobias R. Steegs is back on track for the hunt of a top 10 position.

This week, he did an amazing job, keeping position, taking the necessary risks needed to finish both races in top 10 spots, which he managed to do.

After qualifying 10th in Belgium on circuit Zolder, no one expected him to do quite so well in the actual races. But he has surprised us all.
In the sprint race he managed to grab an awesome 5th place, grabbing the points he desperately needed.

Just before the feature race, we asked him how he was feeling, to which he replied: I'm feeling good, with just a few more weeks to go, it's now or never!

And now it was! He managed to grab 6th position in the end, grabbing more points still, moving up from 13th to 11th on the ladder. And with just 12 points trailing on the number 10 N. Dillen, the fight for this top 10 spot is on!

This morning we were able to speak to the manager René, and we asked him how to prepare Tobias for the few upcoming weeks, this is what he said:

Tobias is improving real quick. At the start of this season, he was making a lot of mistakes, which has cost him a lot of time and position. The way he's driving now, I think we're looking at a future legend! Keep in mind, this is his FIRST season, and even though he should've started in the rookie series, he has shown the world he is able to compete at a much higher level. I'm glad we have chosen the Benelux series over the rookie series, and no matter what happens in the following weeks, I want him to know that I'm very proud of him, and will be more than happy to stand by his side for the rest of his bright future.
