Lehdistötiedotteet - JPL in rage after bad week

JPL in rage after bad week

After finishing 15th at the last race in NASCAR, the Pocono Triangle 400, the driver from the famous manager Blazefp was seen storming out of the car furious with his latest result and headed directly to his private BMW I8 and straight to the exit.
He was later spotted by the police in a nearby lake, staring calmly into the water. The Pennsylvania Police Dep. had been searching for the driver after he evaded them in a high speed pursuit that was triggered when he was caught speeding and refused to stop.

After the race we managed to get a quick interview with Blazefp to try and understand the reason behind this reaction and his bad results lately.

I: Hi, thank you for lending some of your time. First of all what happened today? Why did we see JPL storming out of the track in rage?
Blazefp: Hi. Well I was this close to join him honestly. We're on a streak of bad results and there's nothing we can do. JPL has the skills to beat everyone on the track and the strategies have been close to flawless. Problem is lately there has been always something screwing up the entire race, today was an accident on the last stint right after the SC went off... The car got severely damaged so Lamy pitted in but since everyone was still stuck together he lost a bunch of places.
He was 4th, going for 2nd place because 2 drivers were still going to the pits, everyone was happy thinking the race was over...and then that happens. I stopped watching afterwards, the entire race was lost on that collision.

I: Now that's unfortunate. But surely not enough to get someone to that state of mind right?
Blazefp: If this was a lone event yeah but it's been happening the whole week! Lamy is a calm driver, he doesn't get out of control easily but I completely get him on this one. We've been working around the clock to win this series and in one week all of our work goes down the drain. Lamy gained 15kg in muscle in half a season and we study every race down to the smallest detail every time, the strategies have been successful when we finish a race. One week - it's all it takes to ruin everything.

I: Couldn't it be Lamy's fault then? For risking too much I mean.
Blazefp: Impossible, for all the DNF and collisions he was involved in only 1 was his mistake. He's driving at the lowest possible risk, he doesn't overtake unless he's absolutely sure it's safe. On top of that we (the entire team) believe in Lamy's skills, he knows what he's doing out there.
No, the others risk much more than him and as a result make more mistakes, but somehow several of them seem to be almost immune to DNFs. In 21 races we DNFed twice due to collisions and once because of a problem with the engine. In this race we lost at least 10 points as a direct result of that last minute collision. It's not his fault.

I: Surely a 4th place in the championship can't be considered a complete loss. There's still 15 races to go, a lot can change.
Blazefp: Yeah a lot can change but chances are nothing will. We shouldn't rely on others to win a series. If it wasn't for all these problems, we'd probably be 2nd or 3rd but always very close to 1st.
A 4th is not a complete failure but it's darn close to it considering Lamy's speed and consistency. He knows how to drive better than most, a 4th place just doesn't fit him right, it's not what we were aiming for. It's 100 points from the first place, where are we gonna get those points now?

I: Alright thanks for answering our questions Blazefp, that'll be all.

Immediately after this interview we received news that Lamy was in the local police station paying out his fee for speeding (in 3 different places from what it seems) and attempt to escape police. When asked about this Blazefp took it as a normal event: "the cops don't know but they probably risked more lives going after him than he ever did. He was probably not even fleeing, just driving by himself at his own pace"

There you have it folks, that's all for today but don't forget to hit that like button bellow and to keep that pedal to the metal.
