Wheeler Facing the Rage at Summit Point
In what was clearly designated as a Rage Team race, former Rage driver Nick Wheeler has entered at Summit Point, where he won earlier this week.
Wheeler commented after signing onto the grid and practicing. "Well it's like the good 'ol days, except now there are like 12 [there are really only 6 entered] of them. Realistically I think Bruce and I will spend a lot of time around each other in this race if Zatacka doesn't play spoiler. Which he has a nasty habit of doing at the front of races. Obviously that's pending the last 10 entrants. If a top 10 Italian shows up, we're all going to expect to finish a lap down anyways, so it's just a matter of order from P2 on.
Spinette has had a habit of running around my machine in recent races, too. It should be a fun time navigating those black and red machines."
Though Wheeler has spent plenty of this season's laps running in front or behind Robert Spinette, Rage's Belgian arm, this will be his first run with a full Rage contingency on the grid since he unceremoniously left the team at the beginning of the season.
Wheeler has left?
Wow I didn't realise Wheeler had left Rage Motorsports! Cya man!
