Vale Stands Down
On the tail end of a fantastic debut season, British rookie Noah Vale has called time on his racing career at just 19 years old.
"It was always on the cards, we essentially had an open ended one season contract to explore new directions in developement. Consider them explored. I had my eye on a team management role alongside NOVA team PR Polly Carbonate and Reporter Mike Raffone". said the youngster.
Which begs the question: Who will drive the now vacant machine? And where?
"Recently a drive proposal was dropped on my desk, delivered recorded post by a hawk because we don't have a post box... I took one look at the name and immediately set up an agreement, you simply don't pass up a 2nd generation Wellington".
Thankfully, we caught a glimpse of Wellington's NOVA being prepped and the rookie will race as #19, replacing Vale's #2. This just moments before the entry list for Season 15 Rookie Series was made available, detailing 18 year old Jay Wellington amongst the list of entrants.
"We don't expect results early with Jay, so Rookie was the only real option, especially now with the new Series' restrictions in place. We shall have to see how he stacks up tonight at his debut single race, at home at Rockingham."
