Mighty Rookie Season!

Albeit a smaller series, easy to overlook down the bottom of the F3 National list, the Romanian F3 series has once again put on a great series, acting as a proving ground for some of MRC's most decorated managers, as has been the case in several previous seasons.

This year, manager Adamski and rookie driver Noah Vale took a huge gamble in overlooking Rookie Series, instead opting for the high-risk high-reward challenge presented by F3.

As it transpires, Adamski was joined late in the application process by two huge management names and their respective rookie drivers, who are merely weeks apart in age.
Komanch and his driver Robert Kubica Jr joined Vale, and admin manager Arskap and Arttu Paananen who all looked to make the most of their rookie seasons, which was always going to be 2nd place at best with French veteran Romain Louis punching a long way under his weight in the minor series, wrapping up the title with several weeks left to run.

Pleasantly surprised, Vale found himself regularly on the front row, if not 3rd behind Paananen as the young Brit registered a staggering 11 podiums, 8 of which just one place off the top step in 2nd!

"We were hoping to be competative, maybe taking a healthy top 5 in the championship, but to be so far clear in second in the standings is far beyond what we thought we'd achieve, if only the long debated series ranking cap were in place you have to assume those eight 2nd place finishes would have been wins and this season would have had much more significance. But we can't complain, taking Series silverware home in your rookie season is just about as good as it gets!" said Vale, unusually upbeat despite registering only his second DNF of the series in Greece on Friday.

"Paananen has fought us a lot on track, and a late season surge from Kubica Jr has kept us all busy! Hopefully one of them can take the final trophy available!"

Looking away from the season series, the influx of British rookies taking to the grid is proving to be quite an in-house rivalry as the UK national ranking see's six drivers, all now aged 19, within a fraction of each other.

Leading the group at UK#31 on 575.307 is RAGE driver Jackson Storm, followed closely by the younger Pete Stoppe at UK#32, who's rather unorthodox approach to Indy Jr has seen him rocket through the ranking... On the days he actually stays on the road ;)
Jasper Doodle and Paul Edward line up at UK#34 & #35 respectively, with Edward even enjoying a spell in the National A1 Juniors. And battling between themselves we find MRC team member Donz and his driver Murdoch F. Bennett at #38, followed by the youngest of the group, Noah Vale at #41 on 468.988 prior to this weeks ratings changes.

With all drivers dotting themselves around several different series for Season 14, we wait to see how this group of young chargers evolves over the next season. There are only two seats available in the GBA1 junior squad after all!
