How to Win in a Legendary Track (in the Wet)
Wais Vé Kuba needed to really get his game on, cause the last couple of races he signed up to, he didn't even get the results he wanted, infact, he's suffered unlucky mechanical failures and made bad timing mistakes.
Ok, we're talking about the F3 American Series again, where should we start?
Oh yes, after winning Cleveland Sprint Race and taking a 5th in the Feature, Wais had 1 driver all over him at Road America, not only for the car to succmmb the end of the very first lap of the Feature Race.
Wais later started in qualifying at Watkins Glen, qualifying on the front row alongside Giacinto Pisani, and it was wet :)
His shots of winning ended when he was involved in a incident with another driver, he slid at Turn 8, rejoined but both drivers didn't have time to react and Wais was out on the spot. At the feature race, he hit Simona while trying to take the top 10 and damaged his front wing that he had to do an extra pitstop, his race turned out to be a rip-off later so was his weekend in total.
Yep, now let's go to Long Beach. Wais knew he was gonna have another tough weekend, qualifying 10th in the dry before the Sprint Race turned out Wet. Wais climbed up to 4th in less than 10 laps. It was a 4-way battle for 1st until Wais cleared Rick and Eric for 2nd and then it turned into a 1v1 with Jackson Storm who started on pole and was controlling the race. On Lap 19, Wais went for a brave move at the home-staright before shutting Jackson's door on the outside coming to Turn 1 and then controlled the race. Wais proved to be unstoppable in the wet once again, it rarely happens but the good news is that it'll rain again for the Feature Race. Wais has only finished 2 feature races this year but can he take it pole-to-win or in much easier way to pronouce it, dominate?
