Guinea pig?
After the first week of the series, reporter Tess Signal met up with Tony Randall's manager to ask for his reaction to a comment from Ray Striver.
"Its no secret in the paddock that we have been using Crazy Torques test facilities, but we will not be used as a guinea pig for their future activities."
When asked for his views on his driver he had the following to say
"It is true that Tony may be a bit dim, but there is no doubting his race craft. There would be no point in retiring him as he is getting stronger and stronger"
This certainly seems to be true after taking 2 podiums in his series this week, and a 3rd place in a single race at Montreal
Tess spoke to Tony Randall (who did'nt appear to be to bothered about being called thick by his manager) who had this to say
"So pleased with the way this week unfolded, 3 podium places and a new multi season contract. I just want to say a huge thank you to the Mad Seagull Team for putting their faith in me."
