Lehdistötiedotteet - Nascar interview
Nascar interview
In our second interview we delve into the world of Nascar.
We asked all the drivers two questions.
Question 1: Are you pleased with how the season has gone for you so far?
Question 2: What is your goal for this season?
These were their replies.

Dominik Dán
Currently ranked 1st at 793 points
With 9 wins out of possible 16 races, and a first place in standings with a decent margin, I cannot be unhappy. I wish good luck to my opponents so we can have a nice fight for the championship :)
NASCAR title is the lowest expectation after what we made until now. Anything else would be a disappointment, I am the fastest driver on the series and most experienced. Last season I did not manage to get on top, because of my own mistakes and too many DNFs, I must be smarter this season!
Luchino Granelli
Currently ranked 2nd at 748 points
First of all...I'm very proud to receive your questions...I still can hardly consider myself as a "top driver"!!!
After a really bad start (11th - retired - 13th in the first 3 races of the seasonal serie), some good results in a row led me in the second position in Nascar, just behind Dan. In the custom series, I did not reach the same good results as last season.
My goal is to complete the Nascar serie on the podium, to try to gain a few more ranking (hope to be in the first 10 at the end of the season!!)
Max Andrews
Currently ranked 5th at 672 points
Not a bad season. But had few DNF caused tech problems. With about 70 additional points could be totally satisfactory position in rank.
I want to have better position or, at least, more points in final rank.
In future would like to try my pilot in F-1, sure. But for now it's only a wish...
Luigi Capeta
Currently ranked 7th at 631 points
This season is going according to my predictions.I thought of doing more wins but I think I can recover in the second half of the season.at least I'm not retiring.so I'm pretty satisfied.
In the future I hope to finish in the top four positions in nascar and and take home a custom series win. I'd also like to get into the top 30 of the world ranking and get to qualify for the Champions Trophy for the second consecutive time.
Ricky Dean
Currently ranked 11th at 526 points
Yes I'm pleased with the season as it's my first in NASCAR. After 16 races I'm ranked 9th in the championship even if my car broke 3 times since the beginning. My greatest weaknesses is clearly the setups... Every track needs the most accurate setup possible... but for now we have to start from scratch at every event.
My expectation are to finish in the top 10 drivers.
As I'm getting older difficult choices are coming... will I stay in NASCAR next season, jump into Indy or drive for my own F1 team? No choice made for the moment, anyway the choice will be very difficult.

Dominik intends to win the Nascar series and the humble Luchino Granelli appears to be satisfied with 2nd or 3rd in the overall rankings. But we know that behind his humble facade beats the heart of a true racer who will likely do everything in his power to take away Dan's crown. Kamil Speedowsky is the third driver who appears to be in the mix for the title. Will one of these three will claim victory? Or will someone else upset the balance?
Perhaps Max Andrews who has suffered from technical difficulties. Or Luigi Capeta who is aiming for a 4th position spot in the final rankings.
It is Ricky Dean's first season in Nascar. But he's already fighting for a top ten result. An impressive feat indeed.
What is also interesting to note is that both Max Andrews and Ricky Dean mentioned that they might one day compete in Formula 1. It's not that surprising. Since only the best of the best can get a seat on a Formula 1 team. Outside of Formula 1, Nascar is one of the most competitive series. Anyone who can prove themselves here, should be considered a contender for a Formula 1 seat.
We wish everyone in Nascar the best of luck. Let the engines roar and give us a show!
(tomorrow we'll release our third and final press release. In which we'll take a closer look at the world of Indycar)
