Rage Motorsports launches its own custom series.
The Rage team held a press conference in Sydney yesterday, with three of the drivers in attendance. In the background was a large logo asking people to drive carefully within the city limits.
The questioning started with earnest..
Reporter: Hi guys, have you brought us down here to launch a speed awareness campaign?
Bennett: Of course Rage believes that any driver should always obey the rules of the road, drive within the speed limits and above all respect other road users, but that's not why we are here today. Today we would like to present. The Road Rage Challenge, a Rage Motorsports custom series.
Reporter: Rage drivers have been racing together for a while now, this isn't news worthy!
Knight: Silence little man! This is not the same, this is the first time a race team has created its own racing series, each Track has been chosen by one of the Rage drivers, all tracks are on public roads and spread around the globe.
Reporter: Wow, how did you come up with the name?
Bennett: Knight thought it up, we all thought it worked well.
Reporter: So is the series open to anyone?
Harvey: Of course, we often get challenged or drivers request to join Rage, now we have somewhere to race it out with those drivers.
Reporter: Is it likely to be Rage dominated?
Bennett: We are likely to be in the top half of the table, but we are already attracting big names such as Dominik Dan the ex F1 turned NASC driver, we can't bear these guys yet, but it won't stop us trying!
Reporter: we've heard reports that Wayne and Wheeler have been seen in skin tight superhero outfits?
Knight(waves hand slowly around the room): You did not see these men, these aren't the droids you are looking for.
All Reporters: We did not see those men, they aren't the droids we are looking for.
Bennett: I think that draws us nicely to a close.
