With 2 races gone in this seasons rookie series has seen Redmond Fox can be happy with his points tally, but it could have been so much better!
In the sprint race in Most, Czechoslovakia, Fox put in a great stint to finish where he qualified in, 2nd spot.
It was a tough race as he held off a barrage of challenges behind him while never looking like catching the eventual winner.
In the feature race, Fox decided to up the ante in the risk stakes which ultimately decided his downfall.
After seeing the winner in the sprint race literally sprint away from him, Fox went into the feature race with intent on making it more than a 1-horse-race.
However, with only 3 laps gone, and the competitors being held up by the safety car, his volkswagen-powered Mygale's suspension collapsed and was forced out of the race, leaving him with a 29th placed finish.
"I'm devastated to be honest, I thought another podium finish was on the cards", said Fox.
"The good thing is I have a chance to make amends quickly, with Interlagos on the horizon. I can hardly wait for the qualifying"
Fox has already got a practice under his feet in Interlagos where he hopes to score some points.
"Yep, I'll be going hell for leather yet again in qualifying in Interlagos. I hope I can gt to the top of the grid again".
