RED BULL Racing VAILLANTE F1, PHENOMENAL de SAINT-GERMAIN !

After long nights of negotiations, an agreement was found between Dietrich Matershitz (boss of Red Bull) and Philippe de Montferrand (Vice-President of Vaillante F1).

From now on, Team Vaillante F1 will be called "RED BULL Racing VAILLANTE F1 ". Principal Manager will be Willy Jordan already owner of teams in F3 and Indy. Willy Jordan, manager of Philippe de Saint Germain, will replace Christian Horner as Team Principal in the new structure "RED BULL Racing VAILLANTE F1".

Philippe de Montferrand, ex-driver MRC of Indy, F2 and F3, manager of Promocourse will be in charge of the recruitment of future pilots of " RED BULL Racing VAILLANTE F1 " on Helmut Marko's place.

JL. PONCET (F1 magazine): Hello, Philippe de Montferrand, you did not remain retired indeed for a long time? There was a lot of change in the evolution of the team Vaillante F1, explain to us?

Philippe de Montferrand: Indeed, we worked a lot these last weeks to find an agreement with RED BULL who becomes our main sponsor. Mr Dietrich Matershitz is a very hard businessman and I think that we came to an agreement which satisfies both companies. The hardest point was not to see out place for place, Christian Horner and Helmut Marko in the structure Vaillante F1.

JL. PONCET: Where are you in the evolution of the stable "RED BULL Racing VAILLANTE F1 "?

PdM: At present we are in times, corresponding to our forecasts. We noticed that some teams made of "copy / stick" of our evolution, what is pity! I do not think that it is very good for the future of MRC. That reminds me the beginning of MRC when each could copy what made the neighbour. That had been abolished on my demand and beneficial for the game. I think that it would be necessary to make it also at the level of F1 teams.

JL PONCET: You replaced Helmut Marko, what are your tracks at present?

PdM: We follow absolutely all the drivers, French and foreigners and we shall replace Antoine Poucette by the best available pilot. Naturally, we have a quite particular attention on Romain Grosjean jr and my son, Alexandre which make debuts more than promising. Romain undertook in Rookie and has already won two races. Alexandre started directly in F3 Océanie and also signed two victories. In every case, it will be necessary to beat Antoine Poucette in the mini-challenge which we shall make. As they are really very young, we are very amazed at their current results.

JL PONCET: Your current drivers for F1 seem to behave very well, no?

PdM: Indeed, Antoine Poucette won 3 races on 4 in World F2, and Philippe de Saint Germain also made it in Indy series. They are at the head of their championship, they control well. I would like to inform that Philippe de Saint Germain has just exceeded the cap of 200 lap's records,
,he is really a phenomenal driver! I hope that we shall be able to offer him the car which he deserves in Formula 1.
