Formula 1 season 43: top 6 teams preview

Season 43 is coming and all F1 teams are preparing the last details to be ready to start in the Australian GP. Let’s have a look to ambitions of the top 6 teams in ranking.

Red Bull: no doubts, it will be the team to beat. In the last season Red Bull broke every possible team record. Car is super fast both in qualify and in race mode. The two drivers are a sort of monsters, Saint Germain and Miller are a mix of talent and experience. JordanF1 is the F1 manager GOAT of this game, management is well balanced both on race strategy and in the trade-off between car development and costs containement. The only miss is on the engine, it seems to be no more the most powerfull one, but this could not represent a problem.

Porsche: after seasons and seasons this team presents itself in second place in ranking at the beginning of a F1 Championship. Porsche manager Tobar4life is one of the most brillant of the game. He selected a team of talented employees (engeneers skills are really impressive). Drivers are excellent: Reckziegel is full of experience and demonstrated his speed in the past season, Zackrajsek is a super rookie that all the World expect to see on a top car. Will Porsche be able to complete its attack to the first position?

McLaren: after several seasons as the main competitor of Red Bull, McLaren is recently facing with the rising force of Porsche. A lot of change in employees crew has also made more difficult the development of a top car. Anyway the high competitivity of McLaren is a constant in F1 circus. In terms of drivers, the leave of a champion like Novikov would be a minus, but his substitute cannot be more adeguate: Atelsek. In addition Goldberg has increase his performance GP after GP, so we expect McLaren team fighting for victory in every race.

Ferrari: the team is considered a “top 4” but in last two seasons Ferrari has been more engaged in the fight for the forth constructor place with Ford and Jordan than in climbing of the ranking against the top 3. Drivers seems ready for higher targets with the expert Fisichella and the super rookie Kubica. The team seems aslo to be accredited by a very competitive home made engine, the question is if these guys will be able to close the distance to the top.

Ford: it confirmed itself in the last seasons as the best candidate to take a place within “top teams”. New engine rules has created some issues, but Ford remain one of the best example of good management. Drivers are confirmed: Sahat is very consistent and Woeger showed to be able to beat top class drivers even with a slower car. Engine is a limit for the team both in terms of performance and financial resources, but the expectation on the next season remain high.

Jordan: this team was the one that exploited the most new engine rules. In the past season they implemented an aggressive strategy that let them to fight for the fourth place in Constructors Championship. Svoboda comes from an outstanding season while Vlcek can be a serious candidate to the “rookie of the year” title. Costs of engine can be the main issue for the coming season, will they be able to confirm their performance level?
